The opportunity

The Solutions Development Manager is instrumental in building Flow Power’s customer base by identifying suitable business customers, building the sales pipeline and bringing them onto a Flow Power energy plan. This business development role works entirely in the B2B space to identify businesses who can operate in a manner that is compatible with renewable energy generation, so that we can deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake direct sales by making initial contact of new customers and developing a prospect list that results in meeting sales targets
  • Effective reporting of all related sales activities and performance
  • Document and record in the company RM all customer contact, call details, appointments, sales calls, meetings and all related documentation
  • Develop and maintain the sales pipeline
  • Develop new and existing sales channels for the business through partnerships, contractors, marketing companies and other industry contacts
  • Develop and maintain a sales and market plan that identifies the targets and provides a clear strategy on how to attain them
  • Ensure sales activities, systems and processes, meet quality expectations that are set by the business
About You

As an experienced energy sector professional, you have knowledge of the relevant parties in the renewable energy sector, and how the Flow Power product offering gives us a point of differentiation in the market. To demonstrate that you would be successful in this role, we would expect to see:

  • Evidence of success in a B2B sales environment
  • Relevant energy industry knowledge
  • A confident and experienced negotiator who can achieve revenue targets
  • Knowledge of the power generation sector with a focus on wholesale power sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
