BYD solar battery scheduling & setup<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nThis guide explains how to set your BYD Battery-Box to discharge to the grid between 5:30pm and 9:30pm so you make the most of Flow Power's Battery Happy Hour.\r\n\r\nThis setup is required if you\u2019re participating in Flow Power\u2019s Battery Happy Hour Electricity Plan.<\/strong>\r\n

How BYD battery scheduling works<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nYour BYD Battery-Box is a battery only, so it is run by your solar inverter rather than by its own app. That is completely normal. It simply means you set your Happy Hour export window on your inverter, and this guide shows you how.\r\nThe BYD Be Connect app is for setting up your battery and checking on it.     Set the 5:30pm to 9:30pm discharge window<\/h6>","right_content":"Set a discharge period from 17:30 to 21:30 so the battery exports during Happy Hour. Save the setting."},{"left_content":"

    (Optional) charge when energy is cheaper<\/h6>","right_content":"If your inverter allows it, set a charge window at a cheaper time (Check the Flow Power app for those time windows) so the battery is full before Happy Hour."},{"left_content":"
    Step 6-\r\nConfirm export is enabled and verify<\/h6>","right_content":"Make sure export is enabled and within your DNSP limit (not zero export), and note that battery-to-grid export will not work if you are on a VPP.     Do I control my own exports?<\/h3>\r\nYes. You keep full control of your solar and battery system at all times.\r\n\r\nFlow Power doesn\u2019t remotely control your inverter or battery.
