He\u2019ll check the Flow Power app before charging his EV to find the best price period \u2013 or if not, he\u2019ll aim to charge his EV between 10am and 3pm.\r\n\r\n<em><strong>\"I always check the Flow Power app before charging the car to ensure there's no unexpected price spike. Scheduling charging during the day when prices are typically lower helps keep costs down.\"<\/strong><\/em>\r\n\r\nEd\u2019s results speak for themselves.\r\n\r\nSince purchasing his EV his monthly energy consumption has almost tripled but his bill has only increased by 57%. This means he\u2019s gone from paying $79 per month to $124 per month, even with the added load.\r\n\r\n<em><strong>\u201cThat said, I\u2019m human and life does sometimes just get in the way \u2013 so I\u2019ve definitely charged my car during expensive periods before! But getting it right nine times out of ten is achievable and makes a real difference.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>"},{"acf_fc_layout":"spacer"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","content":"<h3>Simple changes, big savings<\/h3>\r\nBy consistently charging his EV in the middle of the day, both during the week and weekends, Ed\u2019s achieved a negative Price Efficiency Adjustment (PEA) on his monthly bill.\r\n\r\nHis average PEA over the past six months is <strong>\u20139.76 c\/kWh PEA<\/strong>, reducing the price he pays per kilowatt hour from<strong> 30.95 c\/kWh to 21.19 c\/kWh<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nThis means that each month, Ed has received approximately a <strong>$46 discount<\/strong> off the base rate of his electricity bill."},{"acf_fc_layout":"pull_out","content":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cDon't get too hung up on it; life happens, and sometimes you just need to use energy, even if it isn\u2019t the most efficient time to.
