(If your meter read\u2019s been estimated, it will have an \u2018E\u2019 next to it on your bill.)\r\n\r\nWhen this happens, we recommend performing a self-meter read.\r\n\r\nHere\u2019s how you can do that, starting at the top.\r\n

Find your meter<\/h3>\r\nEvery house is unique, which can make locating your meter a challenge sometimes!\r\n\r\nIn free-standing houses<\/strong>\r\n\r\nLook for a meter attached to an external wall at the front or back of your house, or even in the backyard. Your meter might be in the garage, laundry, hallway, or tucked away in a cupboard.\r\n\r\nIn apartment complexes or flats<\/strong>\r\n\r\nCheck your carpark or basement areas. If your meter\u2019s not here, there might be a special meter room allocated for all the meters in your building. Recognise and read your meter<\/h3>\r\nBefore submitting a meter read, it\u2019s essential to identify your meter type.\r\n\r\nThere are typically three types of meters."},{"acf_fc_layout":"accordion","accordion":[{"title":"Clock Dial Meter","content":"A clock dial meter has five dials on it, each numbered from 0-9.\r\n\r\nThere may be a sixth red dial, which you can ignore.\r\n
