Concessions and rebates in Queensland

Queensland electricity concession

Eligible residents on low or fixed incomes can apply for household concessions to help with the cost of energy bills for their principal place of residence.

Eligibility

To apply you’ll need:

  • Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card
  • Centrelink Health Care Card
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card (and receive the War Widow/er Pension or special rate TPI Pension)
  • Queensland Seniors Card

Asylum seekers are also eligible for this concession. You will need to provide your ImmiCard details to confirm your eligibility status.

The premise for which the rebate is claimed must be your principal place of residence.

Concession amounts

From 1 July 2025, the Queensland electricity concession is $0.9623 per day (excluding GST).

How payments are made

Your concession will be sent to Flow Power from QLD concession, and we apply it directly to your electricity bill
