Your Pylontech battery is paired with a hybrid inverter. Check the inverter’s brand on its label or your installation paperwork. Common ones paired with Pylontech are Deye, Sungrow, GoodWe, SolaX, Sofar and Victron.
Download and log into your inverter brand’s app. This is where the battery schedule lives.
In your inverter’s app, look for the battery Time of Use, or the charge and discharge time settings.
Set a discharge period from 17:30 to 21:30 so the battery exports during Happy Hour. Save the setting.
If your inverter allows it, set a charge window at a cheaper time so the battery is full before Happy Hour.
Make sure export is enabled and within your network’s limit (not zero export), and note that battery-to-grid export will not work if you are on a VPP. Between 5:30 and 9:30pm, check your inverter or the Flow Power app: the battery should be discharging and exporting to the grid.
Yes. You keep full control of your solar and battery system at all times.
Flow Power doesn’t remotely control your inverter or battery. Instead, we give you price signals and a clear export window, and you decide how to respond.
If you have a battery or smart inverter, you (or your installer) can set it up so you charge when energy is cheaper and export more during Happy Hour, but all those settings remain in your hands.
