Stubbo Solar
Project overview
Stubbo Solar is a 400 MW solar project in the Central West region of New South Wales.
This large-scale solar farm will play a significant role in supporting NSW’s renewable energy targets and transitioning the state toward a cleaner energy future.
Powering positive change
The site’s flat, open land is perfect for solar energy and well-suited for ongoing sheep grazing. The solar panels are spaced to allow animals to move freely and will provide shade and shelter during hot summer days, a perfect example of agrivoltaics – where sustainable energy and agriculture work together for mutual benefit.
ACEN Australia committed to supporting local industry by prioritising goods and services from local businesses during the construction of Stubbo Solar. Where possible, local labour was also sourced to maximise regional employment opportunities, with up to 400 jobs created at peak construction.
Flow Power has secured 10% of the generation from Stubbo Solar for residential customers in NSW on Flow Home. This offtake agreement will link households to locally generated renewable electricity through GreenPower, with 100% of their energy usage matched with renewable energy added to the grid.
