Sustainable energy solutions for Australia’s aged care industry
Reduce operating costs without reducing care
Aged care facilities operate 24/7, meaning inefficiencies can add up fast.
We work with aged care providers to understand your operational needs and optimise your energy strategy.
From procuring the right contract to assessment for onsite energy assets like battery storage, our specialist team is here to help you find the right solution.
Smart solutions to help your facility save
Wholesale-linked electricity contracts allow aged care facilities to purchase electricity at prices linked to the wholesale market, rather than paying a fixed rate.
With the right risk controls in place, wholesale contracts also provide greater transparency, flexibility, and long-term savings.
By locking in pricing over extended periods, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) can reduce exposure to market volatility while supporting sustainability and emissions reduction goals
For large or multi-site aged care portfolios, PPAs deliver budget certainty, ESG alignment, and stable energy pricing without the need to own generation assets.
Battery energy storage systems (BESS) can enable aged care facilities to store electricity when prices are low and use it during high-cost periods, reducing exposure to wholesale price spikes.
Batteries can also improve the financial performance of existing on‑site solar and support greater operational resilience.
Flow Power’s smart kWatch energy management technology provides real-time visibility into how and when electricity is used across an aged care facility.
By monitoring consumption, identifying inefficiencies, and enabling smarter operational decisions, kWatch can help facilities reduce energy waste, control peak demand, and manage costs more effectively.
BaptistCare goes green with Power Purchase Agreement
The 10-year agreement with Flow Power will enable BaptistCare to deliver care for vulnerable Australians in a more environmentally sustainable way.
Under the PPA, BaptistCare will purchase around 15,000 MWh each year from state-of-the-art solar and wind farms in NSW.
“BaptistCare is committed to reaching net zero in our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050 or before, and this PPA with Flow Power forms a key part of our credible roadmap to get there.”
