The Opportunity

As a Hardware Services Engineer with Flow Power, you will support the rollout, integration and ongoing performance of Flow Power’s kWatch Intelligent Controller across our commercial & industrial customer base. The kWatch Intelligent Controller retrieves energy usage data which enables our retail offerings and energy management solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and provide integration and technical support for kWatch Intelligent Controllers.
  • Monitor controller performance to maintain and improve service to customers.
  • Develop and maintain installation, configuration and commissioning documentation.
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders in Engineering, Technology Development, and customer-facing teams.
  • Support product and feature development by developing product expertise.
  • Support on data readiness and system development to support product readiness for scale.
About You

This role is ideal for an early to mid-career engineer or technically minded professional who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working with hardware and data. The componentry interfaces into customers’ local BMS or SCADA systems and captures energy data, suitable for someone with existing knowledge and interest in the energy market or electrical engineering.

Working in alignment with our company values, this role will contribute to our readiness for scale during an exciting time in Flow Power’s history. With a good degree of opportunity for autonomy, this role will join a small team with significant impact on driving positive outcomes with our proprietary hardware.

Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary study in Electrical Engineering, related field, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge of similar electrical hardware.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
  • Interest and knowledge of the Australian energy sector and energy management concepts.
  • Basic data and programming skills is advantageous, or strong problem-solving skills with interest and experience in system process improvement and data management.

Desirable but not expected

  • Experience with energy management systems, demand response, industrial control systems, SCADA or telemetry.
  • Experience commissioning hardware or working with contractors and installation partners.
  • Experience testing or supporting hardware-software products in the field.
