As the Conference Partner of this year’s NSW Landcare & Local Land Services Conference in Corowa, Flow Power is proud to support an event that brings communities together around sustainability, environmental stewardship and caring for local landscapes. We are proud to continuously work alongside and support Landcare groups, such as Corowa District Landcare, and the Corowa community.
Sustainable development means more than generating renewable energy. We are committed to working closely with communities, protecting the environment, and creating long-term benefits for the regions that host renewable energy projects.
This commitment is grounded in a practical, place-based approach. Flow Power works to engage communities early, listen to local feedback, and shape projects in ways that reflect local values, history, and priorities. From supporting community initiatives and local employment to contributing to environmental restoration, the aim is to create positive outcomes that last well beyond project delivery.
Environmental responsibility is central to Flow Power’s approach. Across every stage of development, from site selection through to construction, operation and future decommissioning, projects are planned with care to minimise impacts and support long-term land health. This includes detailed environmental assessments, site rehabilitation, native revegetation, and partnerships that help protect biodiversity.
For groups like Corowa District Landcare, this shared focus on environmental stewardship is especially important. Flow Power recognises the value of local knowledge, and the role community organisations play in strengthening ecosystems, supporting native species, and caring for Country.
Across Flow Power’s renewable project portfolio, we have developed initiatives for projects like Cootamundra and Berri to give back to the regional communities they’re located.
Cootamundra’s project site was previously industrially zoned but now transformed into a renewable energy generator surrounded by thousands of native plants, with further planting undertaken in partnership with local suppliers and Landcare to support long-term biodiversity.
Flow Power and the Saving our Species program have partnered with a shared commitment to responsible land stewardship and driving real impact for threatened species conservation. The Saving our Species program is trialling specially designed nest boxes to support Superb Parrot breeding, alongside hundreds of hectares of habitat revegetation on farms.
In Berri, Flow Power is supporting local economic growth and grid stability while investing in community and environmental initiatives including;
- A partnership with Tauondi Aboriginal College supporting the launch of a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program,
- Installation of 2 electric vehicle chargers within the Berri local community at the Berri Senior Citizens Club,
- Revegetation of land next to the Berri Solar Farm, planting 100 trees and 300 shrubs,
- And working with local council to install bee hotels on site, to enhance the biodiversity of the environment close to the energy project.
By combining renewable energy development with community engagement, biodiversity support, and responsible land management, Flow Power is working to help create a cleaner, more sustainable future, together.
