Supporting South Australia

Streaky Bay Solar Farm is the most western generator in the National Electricity Market, generating local employment, economic growth and boosting the available generation in the community.

Thanks to the project, more South Australian businesses have the opportunity to access low-cost energy linked to solar generation for up to ten years through a Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).

Powering the City of Adelaide

Flow Power is supporting the City of Adelaide on its journey to carbon neutrality.

Since July 2020, the City of Adelaide has been completely powered by renewable electricity, a first for any council in South Australia. It’s also the first organisation to source its PPA solar power from Streaky Bay Solar Farm.

Through the PPA, the Council powers all Council event infrastructure, electric vehicle chargers, barbecues in park lands, water pumps, street lighting and traffic lights with renewables.

Flow Power customers, polystyrene manufacturer Foamex and port operator Flinders Ports are also benefitting from energy supply arrangements virtually linked to the Streaky Bay Solar Farm via a PPA.
