Flow Power is incredibly proud to be partnering with the Monarto Safari Park to deliver new habitats as part of the endangered Tasmanian Devil program.
Just around the corner from our Monarto Energy Project, Monarto Safari Park is the largest open-range safari outside of Africa, and a vital conservation hub for one of Australia’s most iconic species.

Flow Power’s partnership with Monarto Safari Park is a meaningful part of our community support in the region, demonstrating how renewable energy projects can strengthen local outcomes beyond energy generation.
Protecting an endangered species
Tasmanian Devils were once widespread, but the spread of Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD) has caused a dramatic decline in wild populations. To safeguard the species, Monarto Safari Park plays a critical role in the national Save the Devil Program, maintaining a vital insurance population in case a cure for the disease cannot be found.
The Park is currently home to 12 Tasmanian Devils, and Flow Power’s support is helping build new dens that provide a safe breeding environment and strengthen long-term conservation efforts.

Meet the new joeys
Two new joeys have recently had their first health check, and Keeper Simon shares that the four-month-old male joeys are thriving.
Born “about the size of a grain of rice” after a short 20-day pregnancy, they have now transitioned out of the pouch, begun showing their first tiny teeth, and are starting to explore their surroundings with curiosity. Under the care of first-time mum Belinda, both youngsters are developing exactly as they should.

Our team works closely with governments, local groups, and community representatives to develop initiatives that deliver genuine, lasting benefits. This includes incorporating community feedback into project design and creating benefit-sharing initiatives that aim to create long-term positive impact.
About the Monarto Energy Project
Now nearing completion following the successful landing of the battery, the Monarto Energy Project is one of four new solar and battery projects in development in South Australia.
The projects form part of Flow Power’s broader strategy to deliver renewable energy to South Australian businesses with clean, reliable energy – helping meet the state’s growing demand for sustainable solutions.
Supporting the Tassie Devils at Monarto Safari Park is just one local initiative of many, we hope our renewable energy project can contribute towards in the area.
