We’re delighted to announce that Flow Power has become a signatory for the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects, reinforcing our commitment to responsible and sustainable development of renewable energy projects in Australia.
What is the CEC Best Practice Charter?
The Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects is a voluntary framework that sets clear standards for responsible renewable energy development, from early planning through to long-term operations.
Flow Power’s approach to sustainable development, and how our approach aligns with the CEC’s set of commitments, will be outlined in our first report set to be released in 2027.
The report will detail:
- How we engage early, transparently and respectfully with landholders and local communities
- The positive social and economic value we make in the areas we operate
- Our demonstrated sensitivity to environmental and cultural values (and how we ensure these values are upheld).
The Charter applies to current and future projects, setting a consistent benchmark for how renewable energy projects should be developed, and accounting for the ongoing benefits that extend beyond the project’s generational output or storage capacity.
Our commitment to the Charter
The Charter’s commitments reflect our belief that genuine community partnerships, accountability, and careful stewardship of relationships and Country are critical to delivering reliable, resilient energy solutions for our communities.
For our retail customers (commercial, industrial, or residential), our formal commitment to the Charter is an additional way we aim to show that the projects supporting your energy contract are carefully developed, transparently governed and built for the future.
